Scoreboard compatibility

We upgraded our system to a 2900XL and can't seem to get our old scoreboards 6428DW. I think our old system was running E.07. Is there a firmware upgraded needed to make the scoreboards communicate with the new system?

What model number was your previous timing system?

There is a protocol difference between your 2900 and the 2650, 2800, and 2850. Depending on how old the scoreboards are, the firmware could possibly be updated, If not compatible with today's scoreboards, the leftmost digit would need to be replaced since that is the circuit board with the firmware and microprocessor.
